Perspective of a salesperson Preamble: I started relating to my work process with every other aspect of life and it seems that what I was following as process for my work actually co-relate to every other aspect of life also. Generally following are steps which can be broadly categorized as a sales process- 1) Planning 2) Prospecting / Lead generation 3) Introduction / Opening 4) Qualifying 5) Presentation 6) Objection handling 7) Negotiation 8) Close 9) Referrals Just analyze and see at which steps you are, even if you are looking for a boy for your daughter to get married or you are just taking auto on a busy road or talking to your kids or buying some books for your study or talking to your love. We keep shuffling between these processes continuously.
Just hold for few minutes and observe, everybody is a sales person and is at some or other stage of a sales process. Sale is not only about selling of tangible things, it can be anything. Dreams, emotions, loyality and so on.
